09 September 22 - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

We we're deeply saddened to hear the news upon the passing of Queen Elizabeth II yesterday. Such a remarkable lady who's loss will be deeply felt throughout the nation and by countless people around the world.

Taking to the throne in 1952 at the age of 26, when her father died, Queen Elizabeth II dedicated her life to this country and became the longest serving monarch after reigning for 70 years.

In a world of constant change, she stood as a steadying presence and a source of comfort and pride for generations of Britons, including many who have never known their country without her.

She glowed with dignity throughout her reign, had a cheeky sense of humour and worked for her country until the very end. It brings comfort for many that she is now back with Prince Phillip, the love of her life where it was obvious she greatly missed him since his passing in 2021.

Here at Party Time, we were proud to help many local communities celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee earlier this year providing many events, fun days and street parties with bouncy castles, giant garden games, slides, rodeo bulls and red, white & blue themed inflatables and games.

We're pleased that she was able to see how much the nation loved her and are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate after a rather long time without much to look forward to since Covid struck.

While the country is in national mourning with many reflecting on the passing of the Queen and her time as monarch, we're also looking forward to what the future holds as Prince Charles, now King Charles III will be welcomed by many as the new monarch. We believe many will also look forward to celebrating with a King's coronation party locally around Durham and Darlington, bringing communities together again: young and old, lifting spirits with hope and excitement.
